Brand Film / Founder Portrait
Doubleday Guitars
Every instrument has a story. This one begins with its maker.

The Story
The maker behind the instrument.
Walker Doubleday builds guitars by hand in his Austin workshop. But what interested us wasn't simply how he builds them. It was why.
He spent years learning his craft before opening his own shop, where each instrument is shaped around the person who will play it. The feel of the neck, the choice of wood, the smallest details: decisions that are personal to the musician and often difficult to explain until you experience them.
There's a lot more to that story than a beautiful finished guitar.
Our Approach
We wanted people to get to know Walker before asking them to admire his work.
So we built the film around his story, his relationship with music, and what drives him to keep making instruments by hand. We spent time in his workshop capturing the details of that process, but tried to let his personality carry the film.
We also leaned into something that felt important to who he is: Walker isn't just building instruments. He's a musician himself.
That gave us a way to connect the craftsmanship to the reason the instruments exist in the first place.
The Intention
A photograph can show you what a guitar looks like.
We wanted this film to give someone a better sense of who made it, what goes into it, and why that matters.
For Doubleday, the goal was to communicate the value of a highly personal, handmade instrument in a way that felt authentic to Walker.
Not a sales pitch. Just a chance to understand the person and the work.
